STATEMENT URGING THE GOVERNMENT TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION AND THE CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD IN THE CASE OF MASTER MAUNG THONGDEE
Whereas Master Maung Thongdee, son of the Burmese immigrant workers, and a Grade 4 student at Ban Huay Sai School, Maung District, Chiengmai Province, would represent Thailand in a competition on the origami aircraft competition in Chiba, Japan on 15 September 2009 but is not permitted by the Ministry of Interior to travel from the country due to his lack of nationally;
